"The Insider" has the latest... Spotted in New York: Yankee's star Alex Rodriguez looking somber as he dines in in Manhattan last night. Meanwhile, the divorce lawyer for his wife, Cynthia, says the baseball star's relationship with Madonna was "an affair of the heart" and not "sexual infidelity," People magazine reports.  Her attorney, Earle Lilly, also told People that the relationship with the pop icon "was the last straw" before she decided to file for divorce.   Cynthia filed for divorce in a Miami court on Monday, citing alleged "extramarital affairs" by her husband. In papers filed with the Miami-Dade County Family Court, Rodriguez said she decided to divorce after having "exhausted every effort to salvage" her marriage and alleged that Alex had "emotionally abandoned his wife and children." The divorce filing came after Madonna issued a statement Sunday denying news reports that implied she was having a romantic relationship with Rodriguez. Her statement also reiterated that she has no plans to divorce husband Guy Ritchie

It's day four in Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook's divorce trial and "The Insider" was there as the estranged pair made their way into a Long Island, NY, courthouse. Christie, dressed in a light-colored frock and tan sweater, told the press today she was "feeling fine," today, while Peter, who arrived alone, kept quiet. Meanwhile, Dr. Stephen P. Herman, a forensic and clinical child and adult psychiatrist who has seen both Christie and Peter, as well as their kids, took the stand this morning. He testified that Peter's behavior could've been compulsive and that he would allegedly watch pornography every day, but said there was no evidence that he was a pedophile. The doctor also addressed Peter's affair with Diana Bianchi, calling it bad judgment on Peter's part. The doctor also said it would be in Christie's best interest to have a personal psychotherapist and suggested the kids remain in treatment.
